June
The first rally for the month was on the 6th and we had a Derby training day so that everyone could get a better understanding of what a Derby is all about. We also held a Prelim Coaches Prac Teaching day with Di Birmingham on the grounds at the same time so there was plenty happening. On behalf of the Prelim Coaches we would like to thank Di for all of her help and encouragement to guide our coaches along further towards their qualifications.
Our Derby and Showjumping Day on the long weekend had even more entries than last year and it looks like the Derby is going to be a popular yearly event for our club. The showjumping ring saw competitors from as far away as Hong Kong jumping some beautiful tracks built by Pentti Puro. On the 13th of June many of our members participated in a showjumping clinic with Taddy Maclean on our grounds and it was great to see how much they had learnt by the end of just one day with him, thanks Taddy. We rounded this very busy month of with a rally on the 20th.

May

As eventing season is underway many of our riders have been out representing us around the state and doing very well. We have had a couple of club practice sessions in our water jump during the month for everyone. This month we had four riders assessed for their certificates and congratulation to Kayla Shipton-Burns, Alanah Williams and Shania Shipton-Burns on achieving their “D” standard certificates and to Lauren Aunger on achieving her “D*” certificate. We also had a couple of riders attend a hunt with Salisbury hunt club. Well done to Pentti Puro,Tayla Howell and Chelsea Jordan for successfully completing the hunt and achieving their "patches".

April

Easter weekend we didn’t hold a rally on our grounds as it was the Zone Trail Ride. A small group of our riders attended and said that it was a great day.

Our first rally in April was on the 18th and we introduced our turnout award for the year. This award will be assessed over the year and will also incorporate grooming and care of saddlery achievement patches. In the afternoon we worked on riding at a given speed to help everyone with their upcoming events.

On the 24th of April we had our second preliminary coaches clinic with eight participants learning and gaining a lot from Di Keach. We would like to thank our riders for the day, Alanah Williams, Kayla and Shania Shipton-Burns, Ashley Westcott and Tayla Howell.
